Shannon Hearn is a poet and teacher in New York. Her poem “WHAT MARRIAGE IS / TENDER CARE” was an Academy of American Poets Prize honorable mention, selected by Leah Umansky. She is a PhD student at Binghamton University and author of the chapbooks tracing circles in dirt (Bottlecap Press, 2021) and Paranoid citi (Tabloid Press, 2025).
